About
Ludger Mayer – software developer in Neu-Anspach, Germany. I take over existing applications, extend them for new requirements and connect them to instruments, sensors and cloud services.
Who is behind it
Ludger Mayer – owner of adaptPro Systems. I take on software engineering, analysis and integration as a sole proprietor: you speak to the same person from the first enquiry through to handover.
My work starts where software is already in use – with applications that have grown over years, with measurement systems in continuous operation and with systems that have to be connected to devices and cloud services.
What this is about
Software running in a business is rarely new – and rarely bad. It has grown: over years, with changing requirements, often without anyone being able to keep the full picture. That is exactly where I come in.
I develop and extend applications that are already in productive use, build software for measurement systems, and deliver integration projects where devices, systems and services have to work together reliably. The focus is on changing what exists – not on starting over.
How I work
- Understand before changing. Before any code is touched, it must be clear what the system does today and which dependencies exist.
- Small, safeguarded steps. Changes during ongoing operation are the normal case, not the exception.
- Traceability. Decisions and effort are justified, results are documented – also for the case that someone else takes over later.
- Plain speaking. If a plan does not make sense that way, I say so early and propose a realistic alternative.
Working together
Projects can be delivered on site at the customer's premises or remotely. Short communication channels and regular feedback are usually enough. This is aimed at companies that want to evolve an existing application or connect systems.
